Description

Passu Sar, standing at 7,284 meters, is situated on the main ridge of the Batura Muztagh, approximately 7 kilometers east of Batura Sar in the Gilgit District of Gilgit-Baltistan, to the west of the Hunza Valley. It ranks as the 54th highest peak globally and the 20th highest in Pakistan. Serving as the pinnacle of the Passu massif, which also encompasses Passu Diar (or “Passu East,” “Pasu II”), Passu Sar was successfully climbed for the first time on August 7, 1994, by Max Wallner, Dirk Naumann, Ralf Lehmann, and Volker Wurnig.

Itinerary

Upon arrival in Islamabad, accommodations will be provided at a hotel for the night.

Embark on a journey to Chilas, either via Besham (10-11 hours) or through Babusar Pass (10 hours). Accommodations will be arranged at a hotel for the overnight stay.

Travel to Passu or Borith Lake, where hotel accommodations will be arranged for the overnight stay.

Embark on a 5-6 hour drive to Luzdur, where tents will be set up for the overnight stay.

Embark on a 6-7 hour trek to reach Luzdur, the base camp for Passu Peak, where tents will be set up for accommodation.

Overnight accommodations during climbing will be provided in tents.

Embark on a 7-8 hour trek back to Passu, where hotel accommodations will be arranged for the overnight stay.

Travel to Karimabad, where arrangements will be made for overnight accommodations at a hotel.

Journey to Naran via Babusar Pass, where arrangements will be made for overnight accommodations at a hotel.

Travel to Islamabad, where overnight accommodations will be arranged at a hotel.
